An amusing statement

What would it take to get single payer enacted?

"First, we have to take back the White House, the Senate and the House"

Ah, yes. The Obama of 2003....

Of course, he then walked back his strong stand for universal coverage in IL, ended up meeting most of the BHIP*'s concerns, especially those of Big Insurer's, and the bill ended up calling for a study of UHC.

His 2003 statement is so amusing it makes me want to cry.

Is there a Lemon Law for politicians? Can we exchange one that reneges on promises for one more, er, promising?
