Fundraising in the CA-04 race
John Doolittle, nine-term incumbent and Abramoff prosecution target raised $50,000 in 3Q07, his primary opponent Maj. Eric Egland (R-Freeper), doing his first run at doors, raised $80,000, and Charlie Brown got a very respectable $212,000 for his second run at the 04 doors.
Remember, its a 10+ red district.

Oh is he on the Abramoff list, too? We have this AWFUL local rag that appears for free in the driveway and the one time I read it in about 12 pages it had 2 long articles, one what Doolittle told a reporter about them Ebil Democrats' nasty, dirty tricks in Congress and another by Doolittle himself about how it's all the environmentalists' fault that there are environmental problems, especially the forest fires around Lake Tahoe.
Now I just toss the thing in the recycling on the way up the driveway.
Not that I had any respect for him after it came out that he was paying his wife six figures to raise money for his campaign or something like that. Though that didn't stop him from getting reelected last time around.
