Sam is 9
On I-40, the transition from wet to dry is at the Oklahoma-to-Texas boundary. Sagebrush starts. In Tejas, cholla, now purple in flower, starts, as does rabbit brush.
As we motor west, Sam and Jonah sing their favorite songs as we go through the visor full of CDs, making an all voices chorus for the best of the Beatles. Sam's and Jonah's prior aides, Holly and Kaitlin, will be amazed when we film him, to see him, and hear him, talking and inventing his own stories and games or re-working Gracie's.
We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine

Happy Birthday to Sam. Hard to believe he is already nine. Glad to hear he is doing well.
I need to gather some information regarding autism and seizures. Any ideas on where to look?
Take care. Our best to all.

Uncle Joe, Aunt Annie & Cousin Anya, and friend and co-author Dwight,
Thanks for your good wishes for Sam! We think of all of you often, and Jonah thinks of "Dwight's House" every few days. In fact, when we were driving east from Tahlequah to Scott Co. Ark., we wondered just how well Jonah understands the spatial relationships of Greensboro and our current location. Now that we're back in the desert, perhaps he'll switch back to "Colorado River".
Love and Friendship,
Eric, MB, and the pyrate crew.
