I've read and heard both sides of the question and it appears
to me that Mumia is guilty as charged. The death penalty is
usually not waived if someone is a cop killer.

Why is it that people who don't live in Philadelphia actually believe Mumia? Please read both sides of the case before supporting his cause. The evidence clearly shows that he is guilty.

I don't think EBW opined one way or another on his guilt/innocence. We here are just adamantly opposed to state-sponsored murder.

First, there is the Batson claim, which if you've read Wampum, Kesser v. Cambra, is a general problem.
Next, there is the Mills claim, did the jury instructions violate Mills v. Maryland?
I think both the Batson claim, and the Mills claim, are sufficient. The NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund filed an Amicus Brief on the Batson claim.
Then there is the question of capital punishment itself.
No capital case, the life of no person, is the property of some town.
