Hot, hot, hot.

The record high for Las Vegas on this date was 96, set in 1981.

Today's forecast high is 97. And I don't want to hear anything about how it's "a dry heat."

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the oven ;) (and please don't take that as a criticism of your camping choices - the desert is amazing!) It's *only* mid-80's here right now and you don't want to be out in the sun, or get in a car that's been in the sun. Renminds me, I need to water my garden....

Actually, we came here to escape the 110 temps forecast for Death Valley, our previous camping spot. ;-) The Weather Channel only forecast upper-80s when we made the decision to relocate here. We're kinda stuck as my laptop is being serviced here and it's a safe location to leave the trailer for a few days as Eric finishes up his contract in LA next week (and we take the kids to Ratland in Anaheim.

I'm just whining. Although the breeze has picked up, so maybe it won't be as oppressive as yesterday.

Dry heat over 90 degrees fahreinheit is hot. I think that there should be a humidity/dry heat comparision. Maybe 78 deg F 100% humidity and 90 deg F 0 % humidity like wind chill is 1 deg less F for every mph wind speed.

Good news, you don't need a stove or fuel to cook, use a rock or the cleaned hood of your car.
