Got Black Students? Indian Students? Chicano or Hispanic Students?

The effects of Prop 209 that carried the '96 ballot on the UC has made the front page of Le Monde. UCLA, where I did some graduate work in the math department, admitted only 96 persons who identified as African-American in the current year. Indians, Chicanos and Latinos fare no better. Berkeley and San Diego aren't doing much better under the yoke of false objectivity.
