No, not for us, but for Shakespeare's Sis. Mr. Shakes was cutoff by some leave-the-scene wretch, and while he's sore and bruised, their car was totalled seriously damaged. Deductible and the inevitable higher premiums are just a bit too overwhelming, and has darkened an already stressful holiday season.

They, like us, have had a really tough year, one over which we've commiserated together. Long-term unemployment, despite obvious talent, has taken its toll on them, as it has us (our own bank account balance was a whopping $11.32 this morning,) but it's the unexpected crap like this which is just the bloody icing on the cake.

Without sounding too biased (with the Koufaxes right around the corner), SS is truly one of the highest quality blogs around, and well-deserving of last year's Best Group.
