Tuesday Blog Powwow
Global Warming Edition:
Lots of buzz around the blogosphere about Gore's speech at NYU yesterday and Bush's pending flip-flop, including Think Progress, Ezra Klein, Shakes Sis (including an encore of her excellent 9.4.06 Note Card Presentation,) and the Sierra Club's own Carl Pope at Huffington Post.
Think Progress (always hot on global warming news) has the scoop on new emails released by Rep. Waxman, in which, surprise, surprise, Bush Administration officials try and supress any and all evidence of global warmings (this time, the link between climate change and increased hurricane intensity.)
Mary at Pacific Views informs us things are much worse in Siberia than previously thought. However, she also gives us the good news on energy usage in California.
Jim InHot Water on Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chair Jim Inhofe's invitation to disgraced Danish global warming skeptic (and apparent plagarist, Holocaust denier and serial fabricator - according to his home country's scientific ministry.) (via Susie)
And I'll wrap up with GreyHair at Bending the Third Rail, who gives us the bad news that British scientist James Lovelock says it's too little, too late, whatever we do.
Comments
If global warming occurs to the extent predicted under current patterns, huge portions of the Maine coast will be submerged. Check the link above or see www.bangornews.com for more info.
