Oh! You nailed him! Yes!!! That is exactly who I thought of when I first saw that cadaverous face. Max Schreck. That actor made a career out of playing madmen. And Chertoff looks just like him - make-up or no! His head is like some kind of living skull - its enough to make you shiver. And the vampire analogy is quite apt. Good call!
