End of a State Religion

A last-ditch flurry of sacrifices at the Dakshinkali temple seeking the destruction of his enemies and flying in a woman tantric from the midwest by the royal helicopter to appease the gods failed to save King Gyanendra.

The government of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala moved, and Nepal's newly reinstated House of Representatives unanimously approved, measures that transfer from the Crown to the House:

  • the power to make, amend and annul succession laws, including, but not limited to, the designation of the successor to King Gyanendra,

  • the power to decide the king's allowances and privileges, ending his legal immunity, and authorizing the House and Courts to question the king,

  • the control of the army,

  • the control of the royal guard, and

  • the control of the appointment of the chief justice, prime minister, and other senior officials.
In addition, the House unanimously approved the transformation of Nepal from a Hindu State, to a Secular State.

That leaves the Zionist Entity and the Pentacostal and Allied Schismatics Patriarchy (Neue Berliner Mauer and White Picket Fences, resp.), as pseudo-states with Official Deistic Dogmas.

The United States of Franklin, Washington, Jefferson, Madison and the Adames, would immediately extend every assistance to a new Republic shaking free of the twin evils of despotic monarchy and the church-state. The current United States of America is not so inclined, it being a despotic monarchy and a church-state. However, The United States of Mexico is still formally committed to secular democratic pluralism.
