God is Red: A Native View of Religion, 30th Anniversary Edition
Vine's work is re-issued.
It isn't a work that should be read in isolation, there are two other works, Red Earth, White Lies, and
Evolution, Creationism & Other Modern Myths: A Critical Inquiry, that are part of what would be a quartet, had Vine lived to complete the fouth work. He and I corresponded about the plan for the fourth work. Vine got a lot wrong in Red Earth, but he tried very hard, and what he tried is very hard.
I came across my copy while shifting books about in the basement last week. I put it aside, to re-read. I haven't read it since Vine died, and it may read differently now. I think of Vine when I hear woodpeckers.
