How Americans deal with potential terrorist acts?

Blackstone, Mass police are still investigating the potential sabotaging of the town's water supply, after the storage tank was broken into and a five-gallon bucket with the residue of a mysterious substance left nearby.

Public officials warned all town residents against consuming or otherwise using the potentially contaminated water. One town resident, explained how she handled the crisis:

''At first I was a little leery, thinking maybe it was terrorists," said Jeannine Manseau, 72, as she left the White Hen Pantry on Main Street with bottled water yesterday. ''Then I took a Xanax. I'm relaxed. The only thing I'm worried about is how long it's going to be."

Pathetic...

[you just have no sense of humor. here's a little pink pill. take it and you'll feel better. for someone 78 years old, that may be as good as it gets. now why does a cogeco cable subscriber somewhere in "life is better with cable" ontario use a cheesy hotmail account to write "pathetic...", neh? that seems ... bathos proximal. ebw]
