Lost in the shuffle...

Since I've spent the past week counting, counting, counting, I missed the unveiling of the winner of the Best Political Blog in this year's most prestigious weblog awards, the Bloggies. As you might recall, it was a wonderful thing that, for the first time, all of the nominees selected by the Bloggies panel of experts were Lefties.

Since it will not influence the outcome of the Koufax Awards, I'd like to offer a round of applause to the winner, Wonkette.

I noticed that. Congratulations on her win. I also want to mention two other really wonderful blogs - Waiter Rant and Cute Overload. Both are particular favorites of mine, and each made it to the finals.

M.B. - I've been trying to post here and on some of the nomination threads, but none of my comments have gone up - and I tried to post hours ago. Is there some kind of problem? Are you even getting them? Just curious - it's very odd.
