We're now offering civicrm in drupal, joomla!, and standalone configurations,
as well as MediaWiki, JSPWiki and Xwiki,
as well as the blog standards: MovableType and WordPress.
If you have an electoral candidate or issue campaign you'd like to have done by non-nonsense pros who've flesh in the game, or delight in web 2.0 tech, drop Eric a line.

Bring It On!!! Why? Everyone has a shot at BIO. It might be a smaller community than the ones here but the administrators are very receptive to the diarists and often put them in the main column. Everyone has a say and they respond well to advice about how the site should look and interact.
Gotta vote for BringItOn! God, I just love'm! Never met a nicer bunch of morons in my whole life. By the way, I'm a moron also! Last but not least, "Let's all just give War a CHANCE!".
Pandas Thumb HAS to be the best community, although it
would be good if they kicked out Heddle and Carol -
the 21st century's reprise of the original MASH roles of
Hot Lips Hoolihan and Frank Burns.
More supportive a community you will not find on the web. People who care, people who post, moreover--people who listen. My home on the web, and yours too, if you choose.
BooMan Tribune is the most interesting and lively online community I've participated in. The quality of debates and the kindness of the users make it a place were you always return.

SIROTABLOG'S THE BEST
I have been reading David Sirota for quite a while now, and I find his Blog carefully considered and informative and thoughtfully presented. He comes across as a very wise person even though he looks relatively young. I hope he will continue with his Blog and with his writing in the mainstream press as well as with his books.
ePluribusMedia-- a publishing empire that grew out of one insightful comment by SusanG on DailyKos. Citizens doing real investigation, in the cybersphere and on the ground. Awesome!
In the wan time it's been around it's managed to start a book club, movie club, do recipe exchanges, have an actual cookie exchange, and create 2 quilts to be raffled for the '06 campaigns.
Any blog that can create that kind of community that quickly is pretty amazing.
My vote for The Panda's Thumb. Is at forefront of the cultural clashes between the thinking people and those who want nothing to do with human achievements.
Street Prophets... we have members from every major religious persuasion on the planet (including no persuasion), we discuss religion, politics and other controversial issues... yet we rarely argue.
StreetProphets. The cookies I received in the mail in December were REAL. And yummy. As is the community. Real. (And yummy.)(Coffee doesn't hurt, either.)
I find it hard to believe that a holy site that backed by Kos has this many voters on the left. Can someone find out if they recruited Pat Robertson?
I mean for fuck sake I know Kos has sold out so their is no doubt that his fake Christian left site has sold out. C'mon people lets stick up for one another. Street Prophets is nothing bet an end game for a a political undermining like Kos!!!!
Anyone ever think that maybe Kos is a political operative for the right?
Think about it, he has Street Prophets that are now telling people that they are wrong, imagine fucking that!!!!
Kos knock Hackett, imagine fucking that!!!!! Grass roots my fucking ass!!!!!!! Fuck you Kos!!!!! Enjoy the advertising, you are at the point of being taken as serious as Huffington!!! buh bye!!!!
Hey, anyone who thinks Street Prophets is a "Christian" site?
I voted for it, and I'm a pagan. I've been a pagan for over 20 years. I just don't require a person to have the same philosophy I do in order to enjoy their conversation and company (nod to Ed Murrow), and I enjoy the company of other similarly open-minded people (such as frequent SP). FTR, while Christians are a plurality there, they are not a majority, and there are plenty of people who follow other spiritual paths, or no spiritual path at all, among the regulars.
Or did someone make the mistake of thinking that only Christians can be interested in subjects like faith?
TPMCafé because I miss the "pub discussions" of my younger years (am over 60 now)- you may not equate a café with a pub, but in my country, Belgium, they are quasi synonyms
I am totally impressed by this site. It is outstanding for its collaborative work, the willingness of its contributors to subjugate their individual efforts and personal recognition to enhance group work, their dedication to high standards and their real attempt to bring a new element into liberal progressive blogging. It is a site that everyone of us should hope will go from strength to strength.
Both the active comments section and its fight for fact over ideology in a time when spin has become the leading danger to freedom, has earned Panda's Thumb this honor.

In the wan time it's been around it's managed to start a book club, movie club, do recipe exchanges, have an actual cookie exchange, and create 2 quilts to be raffled for the '06 campaigns.

I am totally impressed by this site. It is outstanding for its collaborative work, the willingness of its contributors to subjugate their individual efforts and personal recognition to enhance group work, their dedication to high standards and their real attempt to bring a new element into liberal progressive blogging. It is a site that everyone of us should hope will go from strength to strength.

DailyKos, but they should be in an entirely new category, given their "first mover" status. Maybe a new category next year: best "new" community blog?

Both the active comments section and its fight for fact over ideology in a time when spin has become the leading danger to freedom, has earned Panda's Thumb this honor.

There are so many thoughtful, talented, and passionate contributors.
Astonishing research. Great tolerance.
All the candidates are worthy: collectively, they may be the last best hope in preserving the America we know and hope for in the future.
