Koufax servers up and running....

Just to prove no good-deed goes unpunished, Eric last night started an upgrade of the servers in order to make them faster and more stable (we'd been experiencing some slower load times.) Not long after, the system began to hang unexpectedly, and when attempting to fix the situation and rebuild, we lost power here in Pittburgh due to thunderstorms not once, but three times since the middle of the night.

Eric, battling a vicious flu bug which hijacked our travel party as we stopped over at Dwight and Deb's last week, has steadfastly remained at the helm, and has finally solved the problem, allowing both new posts and comments to be submitted for publication.

However, due to the delay, we are extending the voting period until tomorrow night, Monday, at 11:59 PM.

Note: More bad weather is expected here in Pittsburgh over the next day, and while that may effect readers abilities to contact us should we lose power again, the servers, safe in Bangor, Maine, should not be effected going forward.

[a circular dependency, when watched, neither boils nor unrolls. how "keeled over a keyboard" qualifies as "steadfastly remained at the helm" is probably one of those kim il sung / george w bush things. i'll get an informed opinion, er, a causation-free opinion, on from michael bérubé-dooby-do. he should be picking up about 32bits worth of votes about as fast as a 1ghz smp box can diddle an integer counter. ebw]

[we were also targeted by several determined attack engines on the 11/12 of march. ebw]
We're now offering civicrm in drupal, joomla!, and standalone configurations, as well as MediaWiki, JSPWiki and Xwiki, as well as the blog standards: MovableType and WordPress. If you have an electoral candidate or issue campaign you'd like to have done by non-nonsense pros who've flesh in the game, or delight in web 2.0 tech, drop Eric a line.

hey, i'm a cyberretard...and i'm trying to cast my koufax votes but don't understand HOW TO DO IT. when i click on the name of the blog in the category i want to vote for, it doesn't register a vote, it just brings me to that blog....apparently to let me familiarize myself with it; but obviously i AM familiar with it or I wouldn't have already been seeking to cast my vote.

what am i doing wrong--or failing to do entirely?

thanks for your patience

susan (winphobe@aol.com)

[dear susan. why don't you use this (actually the next) comment form to tell me who you'd like to vote for. or you could send mb or dwight email. with your votes. ebw]
