First round Koufax 2005 voting ending soon!
Bumped to top)
As of Sunday, the polls for the first round of Koufax voting will have been open for a week. Since most nomination posts have been up for weeks for preview, I imagine that's sufficient time for most nominees to wage their campaigns and direct their troops to vote appropriately.
Thus, polls will close Sunday night, March 12th, at 11:59 pm.
Dwight and I will sit down and start counting votes, hopefully having the results in a few days. Then onto the final round.
Finally, please consider contributing to Wampum's Koufax Awards operations fund to defray the not insignificant cost of running these awards. Paypal and Amazon links are on the left sidebar under Sandy's image. In addition, if you'd like to place an ad on Wampum (hint, a great buy currently at $75/wk, as Wampum's Technorati links have jumped to 1000+ and our TTLB ecosystem ranking is at an all-time low of #53 #51), please email Eric (addy on the right sidebar.)

We Move to Canada...
This blog is one of heated debates, informative exchanges and daily chit chat. I read it on a daily basis and enjoy the community comments. I have surved many many other blogs, and I have yet to come across one that has so many comments entered on a regular basis. The author of this blog is not only very intelligent, but very thought provoking. IMHO, there is absolutely no other blog that I have come across, that involves so many regular readers. I'm sure there are other good blogs out there, but none that have the elements that this one has.
Now for the important question...HOW DO I VOTE???????
From MB: go to the nomination post in which it is nominated and post a comment - or email us with the name and the category.

I wanted to vote for No More Mister Nice Guy as most deserving of wider readership but missed the deadline. When I go to the blogs here in New Mexico in the evening (two hours later than EST) I always begin with this one. Usually there is a post that speaks to one of the day's main issues, usually it's shaped in a crisp and lively way and sends me along to other blogs. Steve seems to sift through the mainstram media with a shape eye -- especially for events affecting New York and New England (I am a New Englander transplanted several years ago to the Southwest) what I appreciate. He seems too to have some considerable expertise, that I do not find elsewhere, in the area of book publishing and the political implications thereof. So here's a sincere boost even if I have missed the deadline.
