Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay

We'd a Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay kind of day yesterday, with Jonah, Sam and I doing one ride involving boats, lots of water, and the Song of the South somewhere between 8 and 10 times. I can spell the word "persevate", and it sure is a lot more tolerable when the temp is in the mid-80s and there's a vigorous garden-hose moment two out of every three laps through the briar patch. Drinks with umbrellas would help too, and it is wicked incongruous to walk past the "Hall of the Presidents" and not find a bottle of Sam Adams to improve the over-the-yardarm hours.

Did anyone not know that when Jonah's clothes get wet he immediately takes them off?

Via Black Prof I learned of news in the real world (proximal to RatLand edition). The city of Orlando's response to race baiters was on par with Lewiston's, which should be the norm, not the news. Here's the Orlando paper's coverage: link.

MB and I went out to dinner together, sans insects, rodents, monkeys, lizards, and wild indians, for the first time in five years. I can't recall what I had, I was too anxious about the kids. Oh. Yes. It was some part of a cow. MB had the equivalent part of a buffalo. We did a compare-and-contrast of cow-vs-buffy, test driving the foreign-and-domestic bovine models. Domestic by a dance.

Tonight we're going to do it again. Tenth year anniversery with mild temporal displacement to get good weather and rates.

It looks like the Texas gerrymandering will stand, even if it makes non-voters out of most of the non-Anglos in Texas. Maine too has ethniclly-improved voting. See For the MPA. Incidently, Donna Loring recently switched parties and enrolled in the Maine Republican Party. Being Indian and Democrat and candidate in Maine is wicked difficult. Voting Indian is a legal impossibility.

Comments

I can spell the word "persevate" . . .

Yes, but not like that.
