Pat Robertson Losing Favor
It appears that Pat Robertson is losing favor even among evangelicals. Robertson has long been on the board of Directors for the National Religious Broadcasters. When he ran for reelection, there were 36 candidates for 33 seats. He lost. The Washington Post reports:
Robertson, 75, a longtime member of the NRB's board of directors, failed to win reelection despite good odds: He was one of about 36 candidates running for 33 seats, NRB President Frank Wright said. In 1988, Robertson finished second on the Republican side of the Iowa Presidential caucuses finishing ahead of, inter alia, George H. W. Bush.
That is a long way from finishing 34th or lower for a seat on the NRB board. I expect him to hit bottom soon. Perhaps not a Jimmy Swaggart or Jim Bakker kind of bottom but a hard landing nonetheless. He is just too toxic.
Comments
It is about time they marginalized that guy, I mean after all they do claim they to be Christains. Just how much hate were these folks capable of tolerating from Robertson and those of his ilk? It appears they have come to their senses, if in nothing else in realizing Robertson was becoming an PR liability.
