2005 Koufax Awards: Nominations For Best Commenter
Below are the nominations for Best Commenter. Some have suggested that the award go to groups of commenters at specific sites. For instance, Kristjan Wager (one of my favorite commenters), writes:
Best Commenter should be given collectively to the regular commenters at Making Light. The quality of their discussion is what all other commenters should aspire to.Others have suggested that a subset of commenters at a specific site be given the award. There was, for instance, a suggestion that the award go to the "non-French commenters" at The General's place.
Perhaps that would be the manly thing to do but the conditions of contest require that the award go to a specific individual. The nominated commenters are:

So many great commenters, so little time. But at the end of the day for me, sassy texan speaks so loudly for women's rights, she has my eternal vote. Also, it's ludicrous but I'm humbled to have been nominated.

THYCWOTI will vote for no one but THYCWOTI. FAC would be a close second, since he gets it. But not for any of those wimpy pansy liberal DUMB-ocrats that were nominated.
For anyone who has not voted, a vote for THYCWOTI is a vote against the return of the Maine Guard under all articles.
So I vote for Yosef/THYCWOTI (somebody's got to!)

You know, all the nominees are exceptional in this category -- but one nomination stands out from the crowd and cries to me for voting (mainly because the nomination is so darn funny):
"Paul Lukasiak, who comments on Steve Clemons's Washington Note, TPM Cafe, and IIRC, at the Washington Post blogs."
I don't know if this was intended to be hilarious or what, but Paul's command of facts is legendary, and his ability to severely irritate all of the blogs mentioned is equally so. You gotta go with Paul Lukasiak, don't you? ;-)
