Birthday Wishes
I began reading blogs in 2002. There were few lefty bloggers at that time. One voice from the left stood out. It was a voice of compassion. It was a voice of humanity. It was a voice that, as Lincoln put it, appealed to the "better angels of our nature." It still is.
I am thankful every day to be allowed to read the thoughts of that one person. I bring this up just to be able to say:

Happy Birthday, Jeanne.

VastLeft @ Corente offers you a tee that fails to be bipartisan and alarms the Villagers ...

Thanks Guys, I desperately needed to have all your posts on Abramoff in one place, and some of them are in that collection, but not all of them. I don't have the time to wade through my email to check on it, and I'd have to hand sort your index by month to get what I need. I was trying to respond to the AJC on Sunday. It looks like I'll be a day late and a dollar short. Where is the stuff on Harry Reid & the claims that he was 'dirty too'? That should have been in the collection and I can't find it. Thanks again for your efforts. Cheers, 'VJ'

VJ, I didn't write fully about Harry Reid's "issues" on Wampum yet, as I have a lot more background research to do to flesh it out. It's a rather complicated, as it has to do with the Western Shoshone land claims and Reid's part in the payoff of a small splinter group to supposedly settle the claim. Pombo was also involved.
We're on the road right now, so I can't get to my files. Sorry.

Thanks MB, I think Dwight had a simplier earlier post I might have used, but the point is moot now. Like most of the media, the AJC is usuing the effective formulation 'they all do it' and 'the Dems are just as dirty as the Repug's'. Propaganda works for a reason, and my paper has been filled with this pissant BS since forever. Sigh. Thanks for the efforts. Cheers, 'VJ'
