I could say Attytood, for having the stupidest trolls; or I could say Sirota for being on target and feet to the firemost; and certainly Wolcott inflicts the most delicious sort of pain; but I guess I have to vote for Josh Marshall for his relentless pursuit of the Social Security Bamboozalooza, Almost a life sentence Randy Cunningham, Abramoff, and his recognition of the fact that the GOP and all of their corruption and scandals are the means to fund their slush fund, the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy Slush Fund.
That is where all that money has gone, to fund the gop operatives like sensenbrenner and frist and delay and blunt and boehner and every little punk ass media toady like matalin.
So thanks Josh, and please don't stop.

I have to go with Talking Points Memo. I think that TPM should be retired from this category. It is kind of like the 1980's US basketball team at the Olympics. I'd be a lot more interested in figuring out who is #2. Some pretty good blogs, all overshadowed by Josh.

Really tough choice...Josh's work on Social Security was invaluable, but I'm not as interested in the recent focus on scandals. The Washington Note provides some great insights, and the recent Bolton Watch feature is much-needed. I also enjoy The Intersection's focus on climate change and the government attacks on science, and regularly read War and Piece for her great insight. But in the end, I think Media Matters is providing the best and most necessary service - documenting the biases of the so-called liberal media. So, my vote goes to Media Matters - keep up the great work!

I vote for Raw Story, though in my Favorites list, I put them under, "News" rather than "Blogs." But among this most distinguished list, it's The Raw Story I check out first, so I'm bound by honesty to vote for them.
If we were using a weighted voting system, I'd put Media Matters in for second, and Talking Points Memo as third.
