Comments

There aren't enough riots in the Bible Belt, so I'm voting for my own sacrilegious work:

Pharyngula: Link to me, or the Bible gets it! by PZ Myers

double_curve.gif

Bobby Lightfoot is insane, so I'm not sure he belongs in this category (or we shouldn't laugh at him, at least).

But my vote goes to: Bobby Lightfoot and the Orchestra of Sweet Regret: Bobby Lightfoot's Asshole Celebrity Fight Week #1: My FIGHT With Wilford Fucking Brimley

double_curve.gif

Pharyngula: Link to me or the Bible gets it!

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi): The New Youth Craze

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin's The New Youth Craze

double_curve.gif

This is easy: Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi): The New Youth Craze was the best.

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi): The New Youth Craze. I loved it. Dead on parody.

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin's New Youth Craze.

double_curve.gif

As there are two blogs I absolutely adore nominated in this category as well as for most Humorous Blog - I'm splitting my vote. Twisty Faster of I Blame The Patriarchy for Most Humorous Post!

double_curve.gif

It's a no brainer:

Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi): The New Youth Craze

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi): The New Youth Craze

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi), The New Youth Craze

double_curve.gif

Crooked Timber: Taking a Stand by Belle Waring, because if I vote for PZ M*ers in any more categories, you may start to worry that I've been paid off.

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin's New Youth Craze

Michelle explains how evil emo music will lead kids to cutting.

Actresses Angelina Jolie and Christina Ricci did it. So did Courtney Love and the late Princess Diana. On the Internet, there are scores of websites (with titles such as "Blood Red," "Razor Blade Kisses" and "The Cutting World") featuring "famous self-injurers," photos of teenagers' self-inflicted wounds and descriptions of their techniques. The destructive practice has been depicted in films targeting young girls and teens (such as "Thirteen"). There is even a new genre of music -- "emo" -- associated with promoting the cutting culture.

Michelle Maklin's New Youth Craze

double_curve.gif

If Myers can vote for himself, so can I:

Acephalous: My Morning: A Play in One Uncomfortable Act

You know that was damn funny, you're just ashamed to admit it.

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin (Rox Populi): The New Youth Craze

Judging by other comments, the Maklin juggernaut looks unstoppable, but I vote for the Wanker-Wingnut Continuum by The Editors.

I haven't voted for PZ yet, since he seems to be running away with a lot of these, but "Link to me, or the Bible gets it!" gets my vote.

double_curve.gif

Pharyngula: Link to me, or the Bible gets it! by PZ Myers

...I think PZ Myers is dreamy. You know, in a dumpy, I've let myself go but I still have a high probability of showering on any given week sort of way.

The Poor Man: The Wanker-Wingnut continuum

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin, The New Youth Craze

Crooked Timber: Taking a Stand by Belle Waring. The Maklin piece was outstanding, but the largest part of that lay in the comments received.

I cried while reading Flowers for Algernon, and I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes while reading Flowers for Goldberg.

double_curve.gif

Acephalous: My Morning: A Play in One Uncomfortable Act

double_curve.gif

(Nice to be nominated, even if I do suspect that the culprit resides under my own roof.)

As a parodist, myself, I'm a sucker for political song parodies, so I have to vote (and hold aloft my flicked at full flame Bic) for...

No More Apples: Baghdad on the Bayou

:)

double_curve.gif

Hahaha, Michelle Maklin, especially if you include the comments. (Although for exquisitely deranged satire, the collective commentary of a Michael Bérubé post is hard to match.)

double_curve.gif

Flowers for Goldberg

double_curve.gif

The Wizard of Oil; dood abides

double_curve.gif

TBogg and norbizness on the same ballot-that's
tough.

Vote: TBogg-The all-nighter.

(I'm really sorry that TBogg's stuff about Hannity's
dating service didn't get nominated.)

double_curve.gif

Kung Fu Monkey: Lunch Discussions #145: The Crazification Factor

double_curve.gif

"Nobody Moves or the Truth Gets it," at Yep, Another Goddamned Blog.

double_curve.gif

Suburban Guerrilla - Susie Madrak

double_curve.gif

Michelle Maklin, The New Youth Craze – Even funnier than the other Michelle.

double_curve.gif

Billmon is pretty funny with his chorus line skit and its
and its dialogue coach.

double_curve.gif

I'm voting for acephalous, for two categories: 1) most humorous post (for "My Morning: A Play in One Uncomfortable Act) and 2) most deserving of wider recognition

There can be no question. Dood Abides' "The Wizard Of Oil." The tough Russian judge gives it a 10 for technical merit, style, execution, and casting Condi Rice as the Wicked Witch.
