Indians write editorials too...

I missed this one last week, but it hits hard on the GOP Indians as villains, not victims meme:
Talking point: Blame the Indians for Abramoff
[Note: The picture is of my mom in 1955 at age 16. No, she did not write the editorial (she died in 2002). But it was her birthday that day, and I make the excuse I missed the editorial as I was missing her.]
[Note2: According to the Interior Department, my mom wasn't an Indian.]

Mary Beth, your mother is breathtakingly beautiful. What a great picture.

Wow MB - she's gorgeous! Cool that you still have the picture. Why did the Interior Department say she wasn't Indian?
[Abenakis are not federally recognized in this country. We are recognized in Canada, and have some relatives at the reserve at Odanak, but our family has always lived in Maine, even after Maine declared us extinct in the 1850s. - MB]

Hello ... nice photos of your mom and your daughter - I saw them with the reprint of your editorial on Daily Kos.
But: have you looked at the number of visits that website's getting? (more than six million a week - click the multi-colored icon on the bottom of Markos's 'Daily Kos' home page to see web traffic statistics).
The photos on Daily Kos are HOT-LINKED to your website.
I don't know if you've looked at your web statistics recently, but someone hot-linked a photo from my website to the same page where yours are, and I got more than six thousand 'hits' in just one day.
Your two photos total 90+ KB ... and if you're paying for 'excess bandwidth usage' from your webserver, you're going to get hit with a hefty bill next month if those photos stay on Marcos' website.
