Canada has Mad Cow, or Interrupted Cow, or

The Tories appear to have 99 seats, the Libs 87 seats, the NDP 22 seats, and the Bloc 50.

The night is still young, and the Libs have hung on to PEI and the rest of the Maritimes, le Bloc se maintient sans difficulté, Ontario is tight, so on to B.C.

CTV, Global, CBC, and RDI (Quebec) have declared for the Tories. Imagine, getting a near majority on a platform of making nice with the Heathers and the Regime. Oh. That's right. They're networks. They aren't ... viewer created content.

This is W's first really good news day in quite a while. He has actually won an election without Diebold, rioters, state supported voter suppression and Rehnquist.

Jonah would say "Bye bye Day Care". Except in Quebec, where Day Care is more secure than Canada.

Update: Tories 120, Libs 100, NDP 28, Bloc 50.

Comments

I was sorry to see the Conservatives win in Canada. At least they didn't get a solid majority and have to have a coalition government.
I thought the Liberal party rule in Canada was good for the country.
I heard that Conservatives in Canada are not as far to the right on
religion and economics as the republicans here in the USA. I think a mixed economy and universal health benefits are the best for the USA
also.

Lastly, day care is becoming a must when there are two folks working in
a household. Day care is advocated as pre-school for folks here in the
USA. I think it is essential that the states get into day care, too.
