Rough news from Israel...
From my friend Allison in Israel:
PM suffers significant stroke, undergoing surgery for intra-cranial bleeding
By Haaretz ServicePrime Minister Ariel Sharon was rushed into surgery at Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Karem late Wednesday night, after intra-cranial bleeding was detected, following what doctors described as a "significant stroke."
There was no immediate assessment of the damage he may have suffered, but doctors assessed that Sharon's chances of recovery may not be high.
Doctors said earlier that the prime minister was receiving breathing assistance as his condition was assessed.

I've never been a Sharon fan, but he's earned some grudging respect in the past few months in his attempts to form a "centrist" party (and deep-six Likud in the process.) Here's hoping he pulls through okay.
Comments
I wish Sharon luck on surviving this stroke.
