End of Politics
Normally, we'd be personally, personally concerned with the text of any free-standing vaccine liability bill, or those attached as ridders, midnight or otherwise, to any other bill, including "loyalty oaths" like the periodic Defense Appropriations, Regular or Supplemental. But with bills now being voted before their author's text is submitted to peer review, "Politics" has reached its endpoint.
The Texas D's went into exile to deny a quroum, which would have given a facade of "politics" to a dictatorship. I can't imagine why any Federal D's are spending the day on the Hill, or why they don't pick London, just across the river from Detroit, or Monterrey, to meet until politics on the House side of the Hill becomes possible.
Of course, that wait may be quite long, as the arrests of dissidents could begin as early as today, and we know from the Civil War, that State and Federal legislators are subject to military arrest. This kind of shit used to exist in Russia, and it lead to tanks firing on the Duma.
