My zucchini looks like my shower curtain...
I've suddenly developed a problem with powdery mildew on my squash and cucumber plants. Never having dealt with this before, I sent out the GMs to search for organic solutions. So far they've come up with:
"Mix a solution of 1 teaspoon baking soda in 1 quart of warm water in a small plastic spray bottle. Add 1/2 teaspoon of either liquid dish soap or insecticidal soap to help the solution cling to the foliage. Spray infected plants thoroughly on both sides of the leaves every 5 to 10 days."
"Make a solution of one part alcohol-based mouthwash and three parts plain water in a spray bottle and apply the mix to the leaves daily."
"[A] weekly spray of milk at a concentration of at least 10% (1 part milk to 9 parts water) significantly reduced the severity of powdery mildew infection on the plants by 90%."
I tried the milk spray today. Anyone know of any other remedies?
