February 12, 2005 October is Koufax Pledge Drive month

2004 Koufax Award Finalists For Best New Blog

This is one of my very favorite categories. There was a time when I could keep up with the entirety of lefty blogs without any trouble. There just were not very many. That day is long gone. Now, there are so many new blogs of such high quality that it is impossible to be familiar with them all.

There are many tens of thousands of new blogs. Of that number, about 130 were of sufficient quality to merit a Koufax nomination for Best New Blog. The voting has now narrowed those select few to the nine best new blogs of 2004. Please read and enjoy.

Though my eyes are blurry from counting Election Results from November, I'm fairly sure you've got only 8 finalists listed here despite your text saying there should be 9.

Hoping that's a typo, rather than one finalist being inadvertantly left off.

THE BRAD BLOG. Couldn't have made it through post-election months without it....

Posted by: Angry Girl at February 16, 2005 08:54 PM

James Wolcott.

I feel a little guilty not voting for him for best writing or most humorous, but I went for old favorites on those, so he gets the nod for best of the new. (At least I bought two copies of his hilarious book, Attack Poodles, one for me and another as a gift.)

Posted by: Davis at February 16, 2005 09:01 PM

Brad BLog gets my vote. He has the best blog consistently covering the most important issue facing this former democracy known as the USA: massive voting fraud with rigged voting machines, and stolen presidential and congressional elections.

Ok, then it has to be Brad Blog, but that's very democratic of you and not very republican.

AmericaBlog deserves it in a big way. The Gannon scoop alone makes Aravosis quite the upstart. Granted we maybe shouldn't apply a big 2005 story retroactively, but he was doing quality investigative work before we noticed.
