While the Rude Pundit is a favorite read, and certainly makes me think, sometimes the language and sexism is just a bit too close to home for me to find funny.
Jesus' General, on the other hand, delights and amazes me no end. How he can twist the most horrendous stories and send "praise" all the time cracks me up. I think his letter to Jeff Gannon today is a masterpiece of perversity and spin.
Keep an eye on this one. Someday someone on the Far Right is going to offer him a job.
His stock of recognizable schticks ("little sodier", Inner Frenchman) add just the right amount of self-doubt to the mix. He's knowledgable about spin, pseudo-Christian values, and the Bible.
He provides a welcome relief to the depressing news of the day.
Even if he doesn't win this award, he provides a valuable dimension to the Leftern hemisphere of the blogosphere.
