MB was the victim of an attack by a ninja-assassin armed with mardi gras beads yesterday. The beads caught her on the left eye, causing abrasions. Her prognosis is good. She should stop whimpering and clutching the side of her face in a day or so, and lose the eye patch today, though it is wicked fetching and pyratikal, in keeping with our annual pilgramage to the Outer Banks and Capt'n Teach's beach resort.
The ninja-assassin spent the evening in time-out, and is now breaking her fast on strawberry cheerios, OJ and pickles, followed by a course of blueberry yogurt.
MB will get back to the Koufax saltmine (the Augeian Stables also comes to mind) in a day or two.
Being the genius that she is, MB prepared for this (and every other) eventuality. She left a vast set of links to blogs that the Koufax obsessed can click on and follow, each an entry point into a maze of twisty passages no two of which look alike. How's that for damage control?
