Sitemeter

Would the owner of the 19,555 hosts that decided yesterday that they just had to GET /archives/kerry_edwards_banner.JPG, and nothing else, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

We were a nexus of a 20k node event yesterday. Starting at 9am, the hourly rate of request was 3375, 2683, 4110, 3779, 2293, 1617, 1105, 953, 649, 501, 430, 373, 341, 321, 287.

The actual cause was Tom, who mined evacuated my fridge of all my beer while I was peacefully minding the kids at Cape Hatteras in August, and who was over for dinner with his fiancee just last Friday (and managed to delta my replenished stock of Harpoon) to enjoy our screening of Bush's Brain. Tom posted on the GOP-post-debate conference call, which Duncan linked to. But Tom put our KE04 gif on his sidebar, something we never noticed before.

We were his site meter for a day. Peak transfer of just over 24MB/hour. We're in fine shape for the Koufax load.
