What Were We Thinking?

The President will appoint an independent commission to investigate. It seems fair to ask what the commission will investigate. Fortunately, the President has told us:

What we don't know yet is what we thought and what the Iraqi Survey Group has found, and we want to look at that.

Mr. Kay can provide information on the later point. I fear that the former will forever remain a mystery.
